Returning to Camp in 2009!

Some advice on returning to a CCUSA camp next year:

  • Speak to your Camp Director about returning to your camp next summer.
  • Get an invite, in writing, back to camp from your Camp Director.
  • Apply to CCUSA www.ccusa.com – just use the same log in name and password! And, in less than 10 minutes you will have applied to return to your camp!
  • Fees start from just $395 USD total! You have the option of either paying this yourself or you can split it with the camp.
  • If you have friends or acquaintances at camp that came through another company – let them know they can return to camp through CCUSA!  The fees are the same and the application process takes about 20 minutes to complete!

If you are not returning to your home country but still want to apply back to your CCUSA camp, then just follow these instructions:

  • CCUSA has offices all around the world.  Log onto www.ccusa.com using your name and password. Enter what country you are in and follow the directions for that country office.
  • If you can’t find the country listed then you can go directly through CCUSA’s main office in the Unites States by calling, 1-415-339-2728!

Sports Around the World

We know that some of you may be too busy to check up on your favorite sport teams!  Here are some sport highlights you won’t want to miss!

Tennis
Rafael Nadal beat Nicolas Kiefer 6-3, 6-2 on Sunday to win the Rogers Cup, his fifth straight tournament victory.  The second-seeded Spaniard has won 29 consecutive matches and seven tournaments -- including the French Open and Wimbledon -- this year. This was his first win on hard court this season.

Soccer
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is hoping to snare Marseille's £6million-rated Nigeria left-back Taye Taiwo. The 23-year-old - voted Africa's young player of the year in 2006 - is keen to join the Premier League, and both City and Sunderland are chasing his signature.

Robbie Keane has finalized a 19 million pounds ($38 million) transfer to Liverpool hours after the Tottenham striker had a medical with the Merseyside club on Monday.  Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez completed the final stages of negotiations with the Republic of Ireland captain over the weekend, with Keane signing a four-year deal.

The Olympics
All tickets to Olympic events in Beijing have been sold, organizers said Monday, putting the summer games on course to be the first to sell out.  With enthusiasm among home fans running at fever pitch, the August 8-24 sporting showpiece is expected to be played out in front of full venues.  In all, 6.8 million Olympic tickets have been available for domestic and foreign sales.

Dear CCUSA Cindy,
My friends and I really want to go to Canada after camp is over for a quick visit but am worried because we heard that was not possible on our J-1 Visa – is this correct?
Best,
Travelers in Pennsylvania

Dear Travelers in Pennsylvania,
That is correct.  With your J-1 Visa, you cannot travel to Canada or Mexico and be allowed re-entry into the United States.  Luckily, the United States has plenty to offer tourists!  Have fun traveling around this country instead!

Dear CCUSA Cindy,
I've been offered a position for post camp work at another camp.  Do I need to inform CCUSA of this new camp and what information do I need to have ready for them when I call in?
Thanks,
New Camp Noemi

Dear New Camp Noemi,
First of all congratulations on getting post camp work!  Yes, you do need to inform the CCUSA office of this new position.  When you call in please know the name of the new camp/company you will be working at, the start and end dates as well as the new addresses of your camp (physical address, mailing address and work address).

Dear CCUSA Cindy,
I am a Support Staffer who works 12 hours a day!  I thought we only were required to work 10 hours a day … am I wrong to think I am working too much?
Sincerely,
Tired in Texas

Dear Tired in Texas,
You are correct.  Support Staff are to work no more than 10 hours a day!  Please speak to your Camp Director or Supervisor in charge about your hours.  If you need help, feel free to call CCUSA toll –free at 1-800-999-2267 for more guidance!
